Hearing the word “sample” conjures up images of Costco aisles and ladies serving up free pizza rolls and other oven toasted snacks around each turn. While those samples are delicious and we’d be lying if we said we didn’t on occasion make the trip just for a free lunch (thank you fake mustache) they pale in comparison to these samples from Master of Malt. While certainly not free, they allow us to try out whiskey’s we wouldn’t normally be able to shell out the cash for. Even a thimble of some top of the line Ardberg is better than a case of bottom shelf swill and now you can have some. Ranging from $3 up to $130 (good luck explaining that purchase to your wife or girlfriend) each sample is 3cl (30ml) of whiskey.

Stoner's Delight
Becoming a great chef is all about experimentation. Trying different flavor combinations until you find ones that work. It’s precisely the reason why we wouldn’t be surprised to find out some of our modern day kitchen wunderkinds are in fact stoners. Think about all the practice they get from topping bowls of ice cream with Cheez Whiz to dusting raw cookie dough with crumbled up graham crackers, it’s probably how molecular gastronomy got started. So, when they get to work with their favorite ingredient – pot – we know we can trust their expertise. Stoners’ Delight offers up delicious recipes for some baked goods like muffins and cupcakes that will leave you baked as well. It also has recipes for teas, snacks and, obviously, brownies. $10
